Sports
From pedalling furiously along open country lanes to crashing down rugged, hilly terrain, cycling is the sport of travel. As the technology has improved, so cycling has become ever more competitive and demanding, with minute modifications to brakes, gears and the chassis contributing just the edge required to inch over the finish line before your fellow competitors. But like many sports, cycling can be enjoyed at many levels, and at many paces.
Not everyone enjoys the thrill of speed, and a case in point is the delight of a round of golf. Once described as a good walk interrupted at frequent intervals, golf takes sport to the opposite extreme, slowing the pace, but not losing any of the competitiveness and still relying increasingly on technology to provide greater accuracy and reliability. Tennis too, a sport that dates back many hundreds of years, has seen its fair share of technological developments. Yet all these sports share one thing – the ability to be enjoyed at all levels, and at all paces.
